He has so much talent and I cannot fault him for wanting to get paid as the best receiver in the league. BUT... his methods are childish and he comes off as someone who never got the spanking he needed as a kid. That s why Papa Reid laid the smackdown on the Mouth.

This could all have been avoided.

How?

The soon as T.O. changed agents, the front office should have announced publicly that they would discuss T.O.'s request to redo his contract after the 2005 season was over - no guarantee that they would do it, just a willingness to talk about it come next March.

That way, no one would have looked weak, the Eagles might have won the Super Bowl, and if they dumped T.O. after that, at least it would have been better than what actually occurred.
